Fast and Furious 6

According to a new message on Vin Diesel's Facebook, we may expect not one but two more F&F movies, which means that a Fast and Furious 6 movie could well be released sooner or later.

We shouldn't be much surprised, after all the Fast and Furious movie series has been a real cash cow for Universal Pictures, and the Fast and Furious franchise can boast a large following, so it does make sense to keep going with it.

Here's the message of Vin Diesel hinting at this Fast and Furious 6:

"If 2009's 'Fast and Furious' was chapter one, what writer Chris Morgan just delivered is Chapter 2 and chapter 3.
I have never been submitted a two story saga from a studio before... it is very exciting, and shows a commitment level that is hard not to respond to.
Excited about the sexy locations the filming of this sag..."

So Fast and Furious 6 would most likely be part 2 of a direct movie sequel to Fast and Furious 4.

Two Fast and Furious movies ahead of us give room to close a few loops, like how Dom went to Japan (Tokyo Drift). They definitely have to explain that thing!

I guess they will film F&F 5 and Fast and Furious 5 back to back, and that there will be a one-year break between the two releases. But nothing official yet, so stay tuned for more information about Fast and Furious 6!

Update - Producer Neal Moritz kind of confirmed that there's indeed a Fast and Furious 6 movie ahead:

"In Vin Diesel's and my mind we already know what the sixth movie is, we've already been talking about it. Vin and I have had numerous conversations about what that might be. And we're starting to get serious about it right now. We just finished the movie like 4 or 5 weeks ago and we just needed a break, and now we're gonna start focusing on that."
